What we store — and what we don't.

02Essential cookies & storage.

This storage is technically necessary for operating the platform and cannot be deselected — civitas. does not function without it. Legal basis: § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG — strictly required to provide the digital service you have expressly requested.

04Reach measurement.

We measure page views and anonymous usage events (e.g. funnel steps) with Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Tallinn, Estonia). Plausible uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses — no recognition across visits and no access to your device, so no consent is required under § 25 TDDDG. Legal basis: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (legitimate interest in data-minimizing reach and funnel measurement). You can object at any time (Art. 21 DSGVO) — right at the top of this page.

Reach
Objection (Art. 21 DSGVO): Switch off reach measurement in the “Manage cookies” section at the top of this page. Your objection is stored locally (plausible_ignore), and from then on no further events are collected.

05Session analysis.

With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity for session recordings and heatmaps to identify usability problems. Clarity sets cookies and transfers data to Microsoft — including to the USA. Basis for the transfer: EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the EU Commission, Art. 45 DSGVO; Microsoft is certified). Legal basis: consent (§ 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO). Disabled by default — Clarity is not loaded without your agreement.
