civitas. works with three groups of organizations that play different roles in the naturalization process: naturalization authorities, law firms, and non-profit advice centers. All of these models rest on the same foundation – a multilingual application wizard that captures information in a structured way and turns it into authority-ready documents. In this, civitas. is a private technical service provider, not a public authority and not a law firm. This overview describes the three cooperation segments and their shared basis.
Authorities (B2G)
For naturalization authorities, civitas. handles the structured intake of applications in six languages and provides authority-ready documents. The goal is to receive applications that are more complete and more uniform, thereby reducing follow-up queries. A direct handover into the respective specialist case-management system is planned for pilot projects; official interfaces such as FIT-Connect or XEinbürgerung are in preparation and not yet in productive use. The page For Authorities describes the details and the ways to get started.
Law Firms (B2B)
For law firms, civitas. sees itself as a complementary workflow tool: standard matters can be captured in a structured way, while complex cases remain in the hands of the lawyer. A commission-free case handover in both directions is envisaged within the framework of § 49b Abs. 3 BRAO – civitas. neither pays nor accepts any referral commission. This bidirectional case handover is planned as a core form of cooperation for a later date. More on this under For Law Firms.
Advice Centers (B2N)
For non-profit migration advice centers, the wizard takes over the administrative part of preparing the application, so that advisors can concentrate more fully on substantive support. The multilingual intake makes it easier to work with people seeking advice from a wide range of backgrounds. A free supported tariff is available for recognized organizations. The legal assessment of the individual case remains part of the advice center's mandate and, where applicable, that of a law firm brought in to assist.
Shared Basis
All three models rely on the same technical and organizational foundations:
- Multilingual wizard – structured intake in six languages (DE, EN, TR, AR, RU, UK).
- Authority-ready preparation – document checklist and application PDF in a uniform format.
- Data protection – hosting exclusively with Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg, TLS 1.3 throughout, AES-256 at the storage level, data processing on behalf of the controller under Art. 28 DSGVO.
- Multi-tenancy – each organization is its own tenant with complete data separation and granular roles.
- RDG boundary – purely technical procedural support, no interpretation of individual cases and no legal advice.
The Partners page offers a consolidated introduction to all forms of cooperation.
